for solo, the good ol 55 against ranged mobs (since melee run from sliver armor and other reactive damage)... earth tank was even better but then they nerfed stoneflesh, not sure why they're nerfing basically everything but 55 and mystic regen O.O

Monk/any for 55 undead farming outside Bergen. Mo/N for Exuro farming. That's all I ever tried soloing in HM.

Its not broken.
Imo, a 105 health monk has worked the best for most people i know, but i rather use something more durable, so i go with an earth ele (terra tank).

105hp Rt/Mo is what i use and like the most. Monks are good against knockdowns and interruptions, and killin undead... but for everything else, rits is where its at.
If you haven't seen my 105hp Rit thread yet, check it out. Worth making one for HM farming.

I think it should also be said that I haven't found something a rit can farm that a 55 monk can't.

My vote goes to the elementalist.
-Deadsword Enslaved Spirits HM
-Colosal Sword Corsairs HM
-Elemental Sword monoliths Shadow-nuking
-DoA/Gloom Shadow-nuking
-Halcyon Oni + assassins HM
-solo UW ecto smite runs (normal mode)
-ToPK Shadow-nuking
Quite a few farming options... and no, the stoneflesh nerf hasn't dented my elem's farming speed.

Anything with enchants removal --> hundreds of places.
My note: be flexible.
I'm using: 105 Mo/D -- 105 SS -- 105 SV -- E/A -- Tank + bonder

Best prof for farming, necro, rits, monk, ele.. they are all debatable, even warrior and ranger are very versatile.
But why stick with one prof for farming. Just find a place and use a build that can farm with the least amount of time.
For example,
dead sword farm.. many prof can farm. But rt/r is the fastest, same goes for margonite(battle of TP, protect the learned), stygian veil.
colossal farm, Mo/D the fastest, same goes for GoK, bergen
Halycon Job- Mo/n or n/mo (SS)
Monoliths - e/a period
